Ischgl is nestled in the Austrian Alps and is by far the best ski trip you will ever take. Nowhere else in the world will you find a group of people as awesome as this.
Our group unites each year from across the globe to have an absolutely balls-to-the-wall time of going big. Ski hard, party harder and get ready to love life!
The annual Ischgl weekend is organised as a package each year by the legendary JellyRocker™ and includes transport to and from Munich airport, custom sunglasses, racing bibs, shirts, hotel, breakfast and dinner each day and of course, aprés-ski drinks and clubbing! This year's dates are April 13th - 17th 2017.
Unless you're driving yourself, everyone should plan on flying into Munich (MUC) airport arriving no later than 14:00 on Thursday April 13th, 2017. We will then take a big boozy bus to Ischgl. On the way back, please depart from Munich (MUC) no earlier than 20:00 on Monday April 17th, 2017. If you're arriving at some other time than everyone else, there is a train from Innsbruck to Landeck and then a bus from there to Ischgl. Please ensure that you add your flight information so no one is left behind!
Jebbie is flying on: Thursday April 13th BA 950 09:05 LHR - 12:00 MUC and Monday April 17th BA 957 21:00 MUC > 21:55 LHR if you want to join us!
We're staying at the always fabulous Hotel Alpenrose in Galtür – about a 15 minute bus ride from the center of Ischgl. There's a free bus to/from the slopes that runs pretty frequently at peak times. Worst case scenario (and after a night of partying) we'll have group taxis to take us to/from the center. If you miss one, a taxi is like 20€ (and they're all huge multi-person taxis). All rooms are a minimum of double occupancy so everyone has a roommate and there are a few group rooms (for partying). Basically the key information I need to make roommates is 1) single/couple? 2) are you ok being paired with the opposite sex? 3) are you ok with a larger room? (most rooms are 2 people but some hold 4 or 6)
The hotel includes breakfast and dinner (3-course) every morning and night. Lunch is on our own up on the mountain and there are lots of great restaurants. Please let me know your dietary restrictions so I can tell the hotel. If you are a vegetarian please specify if you eat fish/shellfish.
Aprés-Ski every afternoon will be in the places near the bottom of the slopes (and that's where we'll get started). Kuhstall is an old classic but Schatzi is full of hot girls in Dirndls dancing on the bar Coyote Ugly style, and let's not forget the highest club on the mountain: Taja! Regardless, let's always plan on getting aggressive the moment the skis come off our feet! After a few beverages and when everyone's feeling a bit saucy, it's time to go home, shower, and have some food. We'll eat dinner together every night at 21:00 – please be there on time!!! Then it's time to go out and hit the town. There are so many great places where we will order 6-Liter Bottles of Belvedere and party all night! Who knows what may happen, the possibilities are endless.
Friday we ski in Lederhosen/Dirndls, Saturday we ski in animal costumes, Sunday and Monday are wildcard days -- let us know your ideas and we'll choose something awesome! Renting gear is super easy and you can do that at any of the lifts from the base. There's an InterSport that gives a significant discount if you book online in advance. Everyone's also responsible for his/her own lift tickets. The group's ability levels are varied so there are always groups at each level.
There are a few spas in the village - if anyone knows they want massages, we should book early since it's a holiday weekend and slots fill up quickly. There is hiking in the nearby area along with ice climbing, ice skating, cross-country skiing and sledding.
The bus to/from Munich Airport, hotel, breakfast, Aprés-Ski, dinner, clubs, matching racing bibs, shirts and sunglasses are all included. We all arrive on Thursday and all depart on Monday (if you can't make it during one of the days, sorry, it's a package deal). Total cost is due in full Monday January 2nd 2016. Use THIS LINK to pay.
